Call for Workshop and Paper Proposals

OCAMPR, an international, pan-Orthodox organization endorsed by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America, welcomes Workshop and Paper Proposals related to Orthodox and healing to be presented at our Annual Conference. The Annual Conference offers a unique opportunity for Orthodox clergy, theologians, and healthcare professionals to come together for fellowship and to discuss how the Orthodox healing traditions interface with contemporary theories and practices of care.  Submittals traditionally include current work on theories and practices of Orthodox care by clergy, physicians, psychologists and numerous other types of healthcare practitioners and researchers. Submissions are encouraged on any topic related to the mission of OCAMPR, and particularly on topics related to the theme of the Annual Conference.  All presentations will be made available online and considered for publication in the Conference proceedings.

Workshop Criteria

Workshops are one hour and should include didactic as well as an interactive, experiential and/or discussion component. A Workshop may be presented by one or more persons, and could include a panel format.

Paper Criteria

Papers are limited to 20 minutes, are presented by one author, and are followed by 5 minutes for questions.

Submit all Proposals to ocamprinfo@gmail.com no later than May 1, 2017. Include the title, whether your Proposal is for a Workshop or a Paper, an abstract (one paragraph), and your credentials.
